In the DFG research group ‘MiRoVA’ (Migration of Road Vehicle Automation), future developments of automated driving are investigated together with partners from Munich, Karlsruhe and Aachen. The aim is to better understand the interactions and effects on traffic as a whole and to derive recommendations for action for industry and politics. FZD is involved in modelling the technical framework conditions of possible development paths in order to show which developmental stages in automated driving are feasible. In ‘MiRoVA’, the technological migration aspect takes centre stage, in particular the changes resulting from the increasing penetration of automated vehicles in traffic and the effects of the transition between different levels of automation.
