| Description | The Autonomous Vehicle Safety Tutorial is designed to provide a deeper understanding of selected topics from the lectures on Driver Assistance Systems and Automated Driving and Vehicle Electronics and Software, through practical exercises focused on the safety assessment of automated driving. The exercises are based on current standards for the safety assessment of automated driving, as well as the latest developments in this field. Furthermore, safety validation through testing in virtual environments is taught. |

The examinations for the corresponding lectures are not a formal requirement for participation in the tutorial. However, it is recommended to have attended the lectures in order to better understand the contents of the tutorial. Participation in this tutorial prior to the exams also helps to better understand the lecture material. A mandatory requirement for participation in the tutorial is a valid driving license for class B vehicles in Germany.
