In October 2024, The German Research Foundation (DFG) recently approved a new research group “MiRoVA – Migration of Road Vehicle Automation”. The research group was jointly proposed by TU Darmstadt, KIT, RWTH Aachen and TUM and focuses on the future development of automated driving in overall traffic. The aim is to better understand the interactions and effects on transportation as a whole and to derive recommendations for action for industry and politics.
