Friends of FZD (FFF) visit Horiba Europe GmbH in Darmstadt

Fortunately, despite the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, we succeeded in organizing a domestic FFF excursion. The FFF-excursion 2021 led the participating members to Horiba Europe GmbH in Darmstadt.
After a small refreshment with coffee and cake, our member Dieter Weiss and his colleagues led us through the halls of Horiba Europe GmbH and gave us detailed insights into the analysis and testing tools there. We were shown test benches in various sizes and for various applications, for example a brake testing system for high-speed trains. The demonstration of a wind tunnel balance with 5-band road simulation was also particularly exciting.
Following the tour of Horiba Europe GmbH, we had dinner at the Braustüb'l restaurant at the main train station in Darmstadt and ended the day together. We thank Mr. Weiss and all Horiba employees involved for the nice and interesting tour.
